This coffee comes from the Nasa Wes’x community of Gaitania, Tolima, an Indigenous group whose relationship to the land is both ancestral and deeply spiritual. For generations, their families have cultivated coffee as a form of stewardship—protecting their forests, honoring their cultural identity, and passing down knowledge shaped by resilience and care.
This particular lot is produced through the Yuppie Program, short for Young Professional People—a leadership initiative empowering the next generation of Nasa Wes’x coffee growers. The program connects young producers directly with specialty markets that value not only exceptional quality, but the human story woven into each harvest. By choosing this coffee, you’re supporting a model that uplifts Indigenous economies, amplifies youth leadership, and ensures that traditional farming continues to thrive in modern times.
In the cup, this coffee is alive with fruit-forward depth and elegance. Bright pomegranate leads with a juicy, sweet-tart edge, followed by a darker, more rounded cherry note with a hint of cocoa in the background. As it cools, a red-wine complexity unfolds—layered, structured, and beautifully rounded.
A vibrant expression of people, place, and purpose working together in harmony.
